PRODUCTION NOTES

Gr. 4-5: Experienced-Advanced         Duration: ca. 7:30

Welcome to Howdy Y'all, a wild west-themed show. Get ready to be transported to the olden days when cowboys, wagons, and shootouts were a part of everyday life.

The show opens with the arrival of the wagon train as the pioneers start putting down roots in a new and unexplored land. The music sets the mood with Ennio Morricone's "L'estasi Dell'oro (The Ecstasy of Gold)" from The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, followed by "The Red Pony" by Aaron Copland, both of which capture the wonderment and excitement of a new landscape.

As the pioneers start settling in, they find love, which is represented by Garth Brooks' "The Dance" and Brooks & Dunn's "Neon Moon." However, trouble is never far behind in the Wild West, and soon the show takes a dramatic turn as the pioneers are faced with a duel. Ennio Morricone's iconic "Theme" from The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly perfectly captures the tension and danger of the situation.

But, as the saying goes, all's well that ends well, and the show closes on a high note with a lively hoedown featuring "Cotton-Eyed Joe" and Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road." So kick up your boots and enjoy the ride as we take you on a journey through the Wild
est in Howdy Y'all.
